Two-tier lockdown in Sydney to be based on ‘how much you look like you’d own an investment property’

NSW has given fresh new enforcement powers to the NSW Police today, to ensure that the lockdown is enforced as unevenly as possible across the city.

The guiding principle behind the new health order will be for police to determine how much you look like a member of the Liberal Party before deciding how to interpret the health orders.

Police will now be able to issue fines of $500 to anyone who is not wearing a mask, unless they look like the sort of person who would own a negatively-geared investment property.

Police stressed it was important for anyone wanting to avoid consequences to carry at least an Emerald-tier Qantas Club card on them at all times.
